Friday April 25th  4:25 - 5:15 PM

Workshop Presenters: Jeff Smoller,  Dr Ken Fisher, and a panel of students from WI Lutheran High School

Youth voices at Lambeau Field called for help in a mental health crisis accelerated by the pandemic's isolation and social media. A youth-driven community-based partnership model answers that call. The strategy applies the concept of mattering that empowers youths to feel valued -- an approach that encourages contributions to communities that foster purpose, build confidence, combat hopelessness; and cultivate a culture of service and leadership. Lambeau Field, a symbol of unity and community, provides space for youths to connect, share stories and find hope. Lambeau also is a place where adults meet to bridge interests and unite to build youths' futures together, beginning with mental health.

Jeff has been president of the WI Academy of Global Education and Training (WAGET) and now is with Bridge and Build Wisconsin, a non-profit spin off from WAGET to secure youths' mental health by resecuring Wisconsin's civic health through Lambeau. Presenters #2 are Dr. Ken Fisher, president of Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee who will bring students to speak on youth mental health and the strategy of using youth voices to awaken Wisconsin to the crisis and unite communities to the cause.
